Assistant Studio Manager

We’re on the lookout for an Assistant Manager to bring their passion for music, film, and management to our hybrid recording studio, specializing in music and post-audio for film.

About the Role:

As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in daily operations, from managing client sessions and ensuring high-quality standards to overseeing schedules and maintaining our welcoming, creative space. This is an incredible opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with talented artists and professionals across both music and film audio.

Responsibilities:

  • 🎤 Oversee day-to-day studio operations

  • 🎛️ **Manage client sessions from start to finish**: Serve as a main point of contact, prepare sessions in advance, assist with setup, and ensure an optimal client experience throughout the recording process.  

  • 💬 **Coordinate with our production team**: Work closely with audio engineers, producers, and editors to align schedules, manage project timelines, and communicate any client needs or adjustments.  

  • ⚒️ Ensure studio equipment, rooms, and systems are operational, troubleshoot any technical issues, and maintain a smooth workflow.

  • 🎬 **Support both music and post-audio projects for film**: Assist in pre- and post-production processes, including quality control, asset organization, and meeting project deliverables for film and media clients.  

  • 📊 **Assist studio managers in daily records and analytics**: Track session logs, manage bookings, maintain financial records for each project, and contribute to monthly analytics reporting to inform business decisions.  

  • 🎶 **Maintain studio environment and culture**: Uphold high standards for organization, cleanliness, and atmosphere to foster creativity, while ensuring that clients and staff have a comfortable and professional experience.

Requirements:

  • **3+ years of experience** in a recording studio or post-production environment  

  • **Deep understanding of studio operations** and workflows in both music and post-audio for film  

  • **Strong organizational skills** with the ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and priorities  

  • **Experience with industry-standard software** (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and scheduling tools)  

  • **Experience with admin and office software** (e.g. Excel, Slack, Monday, Office, Quickbooks,)  

  • **Familiarity with audio engineering principles** to effectively assist in sessions as needed  

  • **Excellent communication and client-facing skills**; able to handle high-profile clients and ensure a professional experience  

  • **Data-driven mindset** with experience in record-keeping, reporting, and basic analytics  

  • **Problem-solving skills** with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, creative environment  

  • **Passion for music and film** with a genuine understanding of the creative and technical process involved
